Hi,

I have several computers of differents (HP, Toshiba, etc) and It happens the same problem. The audio device has an exclamation mark in Device Manager.

I think this problem is caused by some update windows. My OS is Windows 7 Home Premium 32bits .

Does anyone know what Windows Update should be uninstalled ?

Thank You.

Without some computer specs its hard to say. Also what is the Code? Code 10?

If these were old Windows XP machines, the sound hardware on many is not Win 7 compatible.

Excuse me,

I wanted to say in my title:

Problem with High Definition Audio - Realtek HD Audio - IDT High Definition Audio CODEC

However, the Device Manager error code displayed is 39.

Best regards

Code 39 is a device driver issue. It could be incompatibility with Windows 7, as Windows will usually install the generic, basic function, "High Definition Audio" drivers if the hardware is compatible.

That's all I can offer without the actual hardware specifications.

Solve (update Windows 10) or Restore point.

Finally I decided to update Windows 10. Also I can try a system restore and restore it.

Thank you.
