Solved problem with my PC power supply

my specs

mobo8B75-MLX
P8B75-M LX - Motherboards - ASUS

ram:8gb

graphics card:gtx 660 Twin Frozr 2gb

and my PSU:Cooler Master EX2 525watt
Cooler Master: Extreme 2 525


i just bought some 3 weeks
and now turn on my pc
and
no power or
damage

but my old psu 230watt works fine
or psu 525watt too much power for gtx 660
can cause damage
or my motherboard cannot handle

Welcome to SF and the answer to your questions is no, this PSU is likely bad but if it is or was performing well and connected properly then more power is never a danger as the components only draw the power they need.

As linnemeyerhere has stated. You can't have to much power supply.
If you computer demands lets say 300W a 1000 W power supply will only put out 300W.
A quality power supply for your system I would recommend a Corsair or Seasonic in the 650W range.
Your video card requires a 500W or higher.

If you only bought it 3 weeks ago take it back to the store for a new one. If you built it, return the PSU.

Make sure all cables are connected and there is power coming from the wall outlet.

now switch to ON

but that is first i bought and after that i dont touch anymore



can I ask a question
safe if I switch to kernel mode
on MSI AFTERBURNER

or do you has a guide about setting on msi afterburn

I would open a new thread regarding the Afterburner and if the PSU is working then mark this thread solved and good job !
