This is going to be a two part fix. The first part contains the errors from the SURT

I will get back with a fix to the SFC.

If I'm unable to the the SFC fix i will have someone with more experience step in.

Thats fine. The errors have not all be corrected yet.

I have been informed that your CBS.log file indicates hard drive failure we're going to try to repair the hard drive. There is always a chance that a check disk can completely kill a dying hard drive.

It important that you backup your data before you continue to the next step to ensure that you dont lose any data.

This should be done on a different disk.

Backup how to:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/615-backup-user-system-files.html

After your backup is complete.

You need to run the chkdsk c: /r command.

Use option 2 of the link posted below.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html

Once your check disk has been ran please rerun sfc /scannow & System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) again

next post please:

Please post the results of the CHKDSK - open Event Viewer and look in the
Windows logs> Application
Filter on Source Wininit, and post the latest result there - it should be the one from your CHKDSK.

Not good :(

You have two 'bad sectors' present - which is a sign that your hard drive may be showing early signs of failure.
Just as well you backed up (I hope! :) )

Plan for a new HD, and a clean install.

Simple answer is 'No' - there is physical damage to the drive, and this will only ever get worse.
It may happen very slowly, and be months before you notice another problem, but it WILL happen.
It may also happen very fast, and tomorrow the system will refuse to boot, because the drive has completely failed, or critical areas have been affected.

Like I say, you need to plan to replace the hard drive.

You have significant file damage already, caused by the damage to the drive - this damage could affect almost anything related to the files involved (I haven't looked at the details)
