Problem with user account name in Windows Explorer

I am using Windows 7 Home Premium

In Control Panel/User Accounts, I use my FIRST NAME on an Administrator account and log in with this name.

However, when I open Windows Explorer, my user account shows my SURNAME, which I would like to change to my first name. I have no idea why it should show my surname (unless this was in the original set up) - all the other user accounts are correct.

I do not want to create a new account and delete the present one as I would lose all my folders under my present user account.

Can you help, please?
