Problems changing taskbar color
Hi, when personalizing I used to get this nice screen...
Now I get just a generic screen...why did this change?

Can you post a screen shot of what the screen looks like now? If this just happened, you might be able to use a system restore point to just before it began. If you don't know when it started, you might be able to use the System File Checker to correct the problem.

Yep, without Aero enabled, you'll see the generic screen.

Ok, that is helpful. How can I tell if aero is enabled or not? Where do I go for this option?

Control panel > System > Advanced system settings > Advanced tab > Performance tab > Adjust for best appearance (make sure enable transparent glass) is checkmarked (see snip below)
Also you can right click on desk top > Personalize from the drop down menu and select an aero theme.
