Solved Problems in several areas....looking for more TS tips to find solution

Ok good idea. Thanks for all the help with this as much as you could. This just teaches me one thing. NEVER EVER EVER Trust the word of some sales idiot at Fry's, even if he works in the computer hardware section and thinks he knows what he's doing. This is the main reason I have two mismatched pairs of RAM right now that wont work together. His comment was "oh yea it will work ok together with your Kingston" when I asked if I could get more detailed specs on the OCZ memory that was on sale. <sigh>

BTW I have also found that the memory errors due to the mismatched memory are/were at least partialy to blame for the TDR's also. I put in my Kingston and my OCZ in non-dual channel pairs and even with the GPU being cooled properly now, I still get occasional hitches that cause a TDR. But nothing like I was getting before. But last night I ran Witcher 2 with just the two Kingston sticks in dual channel and I had no hitches or glitches at all in game even after running it for several hours, other than the typical slowness and hitching you would see in the game due to the fact I was trying to run it on Win7 with 2GB of ram. :)
