Invalid Activation Key after putting in several new pieces of hardware

Last weekend I updated some old hardware in my computer (New Motherboard, CPU,Graphics Card, and Harddrive) so I had to do a re-install of my Windows 7 Home premium 64bit. I had to go dig out my windows 7 CD, and I've had the activation key sticker on the side of my box for years, so I used the exact CD and activation code that I've used previously. Unfortunately, I noticed today I was getting a popup for an invalid key. I re-entered my key but I'm getting a "The product key you typed cannot be used to activate Windows on this computer".

After reading a previous thread in these forums http://www.sevenforums.com/windows-updates-activation/325805-product-key-installed-but-not-genuine.html, I went to Genuine Microsoft Software and ran the legitcheck. It pops up, saying it's doing "windows validation in process" after about 10 seconds, it brings me to a page saying Welcome to Windows! As a genuine user blah blah here's some complementary Microsoft security essentials! So one program (the Windows Activation program) is saying it's invalid, and another program (Microsoft's legitcheck validation) is saying it's valid.

Here's the MGADiag log.

Any help trying to help me resolve this is greatly appreciated, I don't want to have to buy another activation code, I was just planning on waiting for Windows 10. On another note, I am pretty novice at this stuff, it was my first build/installation on my own without a tech savvy friends help, so if you could use layman's terms, that would be wonderful, thanks!

unfortunately; its very possible that you may have to buy another activation code as the code from the windows cd's are limited to a small number of installs; after which point microsoft says you have to buy another code why you might ask? well why else because thats how they make $ off of us of course. They also dont want pirated copies of their software out there. I cant tell you much else as thats just one of microsoft's policies.

Also have a pretty bad speaker setup which is a klipsch promedia 5.1 surround speaker setup with huge subwoofer and lg blu ray player/writer. Also a hp officejet pro 8600 plus wireless all in one and a logitech s7500 webcam.
OEM System builder is for the use on the first computer it was installed on. OEM is not transferable to another computer.
Microsoft considers your system another computer, (new computer) because you have changed the motherboard.

You may be able to call Microsoft and get some help.
If you want to have Windows 7 that can be moved from computer to computer (as long as it is on only one computer at a time) you will need a retail copy. I don't think you can buy them anymore.

Just give Microsoft a call and see if they will help you.

That actually makes a lot of sense, as every time I'd update a piece of hardware, my motherboard was still the same. Thank you very much! I'll try calling Microsoft, and if that doesn't work, I'll just buy a new code. Would you suggest buying another 7 code, or upgrading to 8.1, or just waiting for 10?

I would also stick with Windows 7 at this time. That being said I downgraded back to Windows 7 from Windows 8.1 because off all the issue's I've have gotten and dealt with. Driver's on a Win 7 machine may not work on Windows 8.1 as I have spent days figuring out some drivers. Although I got it to run the way I wanted it I would rather stayed with 7. Run's a whole lot better than 8.1. Til Windows 10 come's out. Running that thru VMware and already liking it better than 8.1
