Problems installing update KB974332

I have not been able to get this update installed. I keep getting error code 80070570. Anybody have any ideas? I have tried disabling my virus protection, and still the same problem. I'm thinking that this is a pretty important update, so I keep trying.

Go to control panel, programs, and uninstall any remanants that may be present from prior trys. Install that one update alone, no others at the same time. Make sure that the update is truly for your system, mistakes do happen. Fianally check to make sure it actually was not downloaded, previously.

Thanks for the tip, but I could not find anywhere where it said that this update was installed. There were several others but not this one. Any more ideas? Do I really need this one. It shows that it is an important one.

Did you go to update history top of the page, troubleshooting updates?

Cannot download update KB973704, KB973593, KB976416 and KB974561...Installation of updates fail - receiving error message 646. Is there a fix for these updates?

What was the original date of the update, I will check my history and see what it does.

Thanks Richard,

I did check the view update history. I have this one showing failed numerous times, and never see that it was successful. I am not sure of the original date that the update came out. The first time that I see it was 12-5-09, when I had reload Win 7 64.

I'm not think so it is the same problem although there is also issue with the same hotfix -another WU error message,error 80070570 rather don't address to corruption in C:\Windows\WinSxS,I think so.

Both things work in 90% on this error.
