Problems with my PC

I have just finished building a PC, I connected the monitor and turned it on.
The monitor turns on, shows a message saying 'No Signal', then goes into sleep mode.
Everything in the tower turns on, all the fans, CPU fan and the light on the DVD drive turns on.
I thought I might need to install display drivers, but when I try to open the DVD drive, it opens either slightly, halfway or fully, then closes again straight away.
What can I do??

Is the auxiliary 4-pin power connector plugged in?

Do you hear the initial "BEEP" that indicate the system is ok and can begin the POST?

The only sound is from the fans.
The auxiliary 4 pin power connector is in, yes.

No Bios screen, maybe it's not seeing the Ram memory, Check installation of Ram sticks again

Unplug anything that isn't necessary... cards, drives, cd, etc. Swap an extra graphics card if you have one. You may have something DOA which is not uncommon, or else it's just something obvious you haven't though of. That happens too.

Try reseating your video and memory cards. Does your video card require a power source and if so, do you have the correct power cable(s) plugged in? Double check to be sure that your DVD drive is connected correctly. You won't get a post boot beep if you don't have a speaker in your case even if you get past boot which you aren't.

I have tried the monitor with the ports on the Motherboard for the integrated card and the dedicated card.
I will try checking the RAM again.

The RAM I have, Corsair XMS3 1333MHz, is not listed in the Motherboard compatibility list, although it runs at a frequency compatible with both processor and motherboard

Yes it does, but if I plug the monitor into the graphics card nothing happens. I need both cables (white and blue ends) plugged into the motherboard for something to happen

Yes, that is the motherboard.
Originally I had the RAM in slots A1 and B2, the first black and the first blue, now they are in both black slots, A2 and B2

A few weeks ago a user had to try just 1 ram stick at a time in each slot until he got it to boot. Is your memory sticks single channel or dual channel ?

Well I found the thread, but it was a BSOD problem.

At least his monitor worked.

Are you getting any indication the computer is booting to the memory & motherboard ? Just your monitor is not working? any spare monitor to connect & test ?

Have you disabled the onboard video? If so, re-enable it and try without the dedicated card. Maybe the mobo is DOA.

Return the RAM to point of purchase for MOBO spec'd RAM. OR Corsair tech support may do it; Kingston always does.

Ok, I have tried just about everything.
First I tried removing everything non-essential. I tried every possible combination of one/two RAM sticks, and still the same message.
When I turn it on, the HDD whirs, so that works.
All the fans on the case, PSU and heatsink turn on.
The motherboard has a green LED when I turn it on.
I think that either the Mobo or RAM is dead, although I am not sure which

What are your BIOS settings for RAM?

Check for the recommended settings in your MOBO manual, change if needed.

I would, but I cannot get to the BIOS, the screen says 'No Signal' when its turned on. There is a green LED on the motherboard, but no beep.
