Processor code in white - Name

Hey all,

Could someone tel me the proper name for this code found on a Core 2 Qaud -




I need to know because this tells a lot of info about the individual chip.

AFAIK, Core 2 Quads have numbers starting with a "Q" followed by four digits. E.g. Q6400. In addition some of the lower end processors of this type start with an "S". But there is no Intel processor i know of that starts with an "N" (as in the picture).

The no. on your picture is probably some serial number.

No, the picture is for reference i used from google images.

I am talking about the number that begins with 'N' and the other figures underneath that. There is a special name for this code. I do know the (As an example) the 0A is the revision number, but need to know what the rest is called.

Out of curiosity, I googled for Intel FPO code and this is the result.

Example: L707A723 ---

1st letter or digit = plant code: (Malaysia)
0 = San Jose, Costa Rica
1 = Cavite, Philippines
3 = Costa Rica
6 = Chandler, Arizona
7 = Philippines
8 = Leixlip, Ireland
9 = Penang, Malaysia
L = Malaysia
Q = Malaysia
R = Manila, Philippines
Y = Leixlip, Ireland

2nd digit = Year of production: (2007)

3rd & 4th digits = week: (7th week )

5th - 8th digits= lot number: (723)

10th - 13th digits = serialization code (---)

But no sign of any N. Also, as per this scheme the particular piece would be manufactured in the 82nd week of 2003!!??
