Solved Product key cannot be used to activate windows on this computer

Hi,

i had bought windows 7 from MSFT offices in Seattle. It was working fine on my older machine. i recently built a new machine and scrapped the old one (it ceases to exist).

I installed the windows 7 on the new machine but i am getting the "The product key you typed cannot be used to activate Windows on this computer" error.

i have the original disks (32 & 64) as well the box with me and the product key is on the inside of the box left hand starting with PQX...

i tried several times to activate the windows but i always get the same error.

please help. today is the last day to activate.

i ran another tool from MSFT to activate. here is what it says.

Activate Windows.
Windows validation detected and repaired an activation exploit (used to prevent built-in Windows licensing components from operating properly). You must activate Windows in order to complete the repair process and be able to use the full functionality of Windows. Not to worry, we can help you with that.

to add more info:

this new machine has intel's latest CPU, M2 ssd, 16 gb ram, and i have upgraded/installed intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers that were on the Motherboard's disk. MOBO is from ASrock.
