So I'm running Win7 Ultimate 64bit, and while running Photoshop CS5 i keep interrupted with the top window-bar coming onto photoshop with a message saying the program is unresponsive. I will be in the middle of selecting something to delete with content aware fill, and the top bar will show up and say "Program is unresponsive". I can still work on what I'm doing, but it continues my selection a little lower than where I was, rendering my selection useless.

What I was wondering, is there a way to lengthen the period of time that windows tries to see a program as unresponsive. Like say it thinks its unresponsive after 4 or 5 seconds, could I change something to make it not do anything (thus not interrupt me) for about 30-50 seconds?

Hi hainer,

The solution here is to figure out what's causing Photoshop to become unresponsive. My immediate guess is that you don't have sufficient memory, but I can't be sure unless you fill out your System Specs as completely as possible. Please do that first and I'll be happy to continue trying to help :)
