To Remove the Shields you need to Disable UAC Or make your account an Administrator

When you mean Remove Shields do you mean on the Icon or the Popup asking for a password or confirmation?

Anything with a Shield will require an Administrator Password or User account

UAC.JPG

This is a security feature to prevent unauthorised access there is no way to Bypass this system unless you have access to an Administrator account either Builtin or Standard Admin

If there is no User Presented in the UAC Prompt then boot into safe mode and an Administrator account should be there along with your User account

After logging on as the Administrator either Create an Admin account to use in emergencies and use your standard account or Change your Standard user account to an Administrator account

They appear when a Command needs access to restricted parts of your computer and therefore require an administrator password

Yes it is 100% A-OK to use the standard account you will just need to enter a password to access Admin areas on your Windows Installation which is the problem you are having
