Programs stop working(Fallout new vegas, firefox, etc)

Hello im running windows 7 ultimate x64 and while im in the middle of playing any of my video games or in any other program it grays out and windows says the program has stopped working. The only way to get out of it is to end the process in the task manager. I know this is common and theres probably no fix but if i see "fallout new vegas has stopped working, windows is checking for a solution" one more time im going to drop my computer out of a window

Check your temps.. sometimes they can make a program to stop.
Or else re-install the programs that r giving u this trouble.

Update Audio and Video Drivers, do not let Windows Update do the updating of the drivers, it never works well. Drivers may get corrupted at any minute and more so when you install a new game.

If you have recently updated your drivers, uninstall them and install fresh... it is worth a try!

Why do the Audio as well, I am not 100% sure on this but it has helped me in the past. Was that the culprit? I don't really know but again... no harm done and all you did was waste a few minutes of your time.
