If I do gaming too much on a laptop, will it be easier to heat up in future (Months)?

Over a month I have been playing some games and heat usually around 60-75C, now it can get up to 80C. ::huh:

My laptop is a few months old only so I don't think dust will accumulate so fast.

My laptop temperature at idle mode is 45-55C.
Thank you.

I have no coolerpads by the way.
As you can see right after I off my game, the temperature gets back to normal fast on the bright side haha

In my opinion, 45-55C at idle is too high. I think most CPUs will idle in the low to mid 30s. GPUs may be slightly warmer at idle (just a few degrees) if there's any kind of screen display.

Upon start up, my laptop is already at 40C....

If it was my laptop I'd invest in a can of compressed air and clean the vents. I'd also invest in a cooling pad. If you don't want to spend money on a cooling pad make sure the laptop is always on a hard surface, not a pillow or a bed or your lap. It's too easy for the vents to be blocked. And if this doesn't get your idle temps down into the 30s you may want to look into warranty repair if your machine is only a few months old.

Thanks for your reply, I've checked several users and for my model 40-50C idle is normal.
I will get a cooling pad soon! Thank you.

Some laptops really gets unnecessarily hot, i never use my laptop on summer because it overheats often.

sure, let's move to the artic just because of a laptop. :p

Don't worry. Pick a cooling pad with the biggest fan you can find (they move more air and are much more quiet than those with small fans) and you'll be fine.

Was running Win Xp from a IDE drive. Yeah. Was a pain.
SATA II drive and Win7 and it zips away! Yay!
What causes laptop to heat up?

Other than accumulated dust and blocked vents?

PS : I noticed with my adapter on(With no batteries), my laptop battery tent to go higher than unplugged with batteries.

bad design.

It's hard to keep powerful computer components so close together without heat going up. Not all laptops have good thermal management, quite a few in the midrange and cheap sector totally suck right out of the box.
