I watched the video but there was nothing special about it. Just download and run. Which is what I did and the result was a little black box that popped up somewhere in the screen and disappeared.

Immediately after the black box (Command Prompt) a browser window should open saying it is scanning.

Did you get the browser opening?

Try on another PC. Maybe there is a problem with this PC. It works for use.

Thanks for the video but it didn't work. The browser does not pop up. Could it be because I am using Windows 8?
Anyway it would it ok as long as it's 204pin and 1x4?

I think I really bought the wrong laptop. Should have spent a little extra that goes up to 16gb...

Some people told me that 2x8 RAM should work since the laptop has 2 slots, and the reason why they said it was expandable up to 8 gb might be because it already has 4gb in one slot and so if adding 4gb on the other it is 8gb.

Having two slots does not mean it will take 8GB RAM sticks, it would be rare. I have a Dell laptop that will only accept 1GB stick, or a total of 2GB.
You have the computer, check the manual.

Thank you. Would any RAM with 204 pin be ok or would I have to get the exact same brand as well?
