Question about the Devices and Printers window

The pc I am on shows up under the Devices and Printers window. From recollection, this did not happen in the past. I tried contacting Microsoft support and they ended my session before resolving the question. Do any of you know when this became a feature?

If you are referring to "Your PC Name-PC" then yes it has been there the whole time and you just have not noticed it.
