Hello! Well I have a question and also I need an advice. I have one Gainword Nvidia 9500GT http://www.gainward.com/main/vgapro.php?id=125 and I have seen this one Gainword 9600GT http://www.gainward.com/main/vgapro.php?id=136 both have different bandwidth. My quenstion is if 9600GT has 12.8 GB/s then is better from 9500GT that has 25.6GB/s, right? Or i'm just doing something wrong? And what is that bandwidth on graphics cards?

And the advice we were talking about, right now I have on my computer one 9500GT and i'm not satisfied with the performance on the games and i'm thinking of changing it with one 9600GT, I have hear that 9600GT is a very good card and have greate performance on games. Should I change my 9500GT with 9600GT or wait 1-2 years until I get a new computer?

Please answer me fast because my friend tomorow is going to order some things and is my chance to get that card.
Thanks! :)

There are a few other things to look into between these two cards. One the GPU the other the connection it uses to the board. think of it this way Bandwidth is like a highway, you can have 8 lanes but when it come to the toll you only have 6. See the bottle neck there the Toll would be your GPU and connection to the mobo. the 9600GT has a 500 clock and PCI-Express 2.0. The 9500GT has 550 clock and just a PCI-Express. With not knowing much about these type of cards and just the specs here I would choose the 9600GT.

Yes I know that there are these other things too, but the bandwidth is making me consider if I will take that card.

To me the rule is bandwidth is nothing if your chip cant run at the same speed.
its like having a 20 inch water pipe but at the top is only a 1 inch output.

i cant believe you've settled for the 9500GT for so long (given your system specs) :p, im trying to work out why the cards have a different bandwidth..??, they're both running 1024mb of DDR2....the RAM on the 9500 must be clocked higher than the 9600, (or its a misprint)

''IMO'' forget the 9600GT, i'd look at the GTS250 or the GTX260 (budget & PSU permitting), the cards ive listed are pretty cheap now, the release of GT300 will see the current prices drop even further...

your Q6600 is SCREAMING for a decent GPU... dont dissapoint her.......lol ;)
