all right, so I know this sptd thingy's not anymore a hot news.. but I really want to ask a few things about it, since I have daemon tools installed on my windows.. and I'm no expert at this, so.. I might sound very demanding and am sorry for that..
I read from few articles around the internet, including the Daemon's forum as well, and I read that the sptd driver which installed along with daemon (or Alcohol 120%) seems dangerous and not safe for windows, and caused a lot of BSODs cases, and many more. well, I have daemon tools lite installed on my system from a very long time ago, but I don't really often use it (I racked my memory, I have ever used it only about 3-5 times). I've updated to the latest version of daemon recently, and haven't had using it. luckily, since the very long time ago and now, I have never experienced any problems which caused by this sptd driver. I only have experienced BSOD very rarely, twice or thrice, could count it by fingers.
what I want to ask is (okay, are
), what kind of situation that can trigger the sptd to cause a problem to windows? is it a consistent use of daemon tools? and then, should I disable/remove it from my system even though I don't remove the Daemon tools? will the Daemon tools still work if the sptd being disabled/removed? or will the sptd not being a problem to our system if we rarely use the daemon?
sorry if i ask too much and if i'm posting in the wrong section. I really want to know what's best to do, because the more I read through the sites, the more paranoid I became.
