QuickCam Pro 9000

Here's what I did.

-First unplug your camera.

-Uninstall all logitech drivers and software related to your camera.

-Reboot

-Go to the US Logitech website:
QuickCam® Pro 9000

- Download the software, "Logitech Webcam Software with Vid" ver. 1.0
for Vista x 64.

-Right click the program you downloaded: "lws100_x64.exe", click "properties", go to "compatibility" tab, check "run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows Vista (Service Pak 2), check "run as administrator", ckick OK.

-Right click the program, select "Run as Administrator" and let the program run. Plug in your camera when it ask's you to, let the program finish.

-I was good to go at that point, you may want to re-boot after the program finishes.

Hope this helps.

I don't have win vista I am using win 7 and I have a logitech pro 9000 cam and it works but the privacy screen and the other video effects do not work with win 7.... These things work on my older computer with win xp. Any ideas how I could get those to work with win 7. The file I downloaded and installed from Logitech was lws110.exe

Hi, I have a Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000. I have it with about 2 years. I was using it on my old laptop which worked perfect. But my problem now is that i have a new laptop and its a windows 7 32bit. Sorry thats all i know about the laptop. But anytime i want to record a video i have to plug in the usb bit from the quickcam into the usb slot, until i hear that sound you would normaly here when you put a plugin into a comptuer. (IT WOUNT WORK IF THE IF ITS IN ALREADY) As from then i go to the icon of the quickcam and i clicks it and it brings it up after about 20 seconds. But 1 outta of 10 times the camera works and what i mean by when it dont work, i goes to press record video and it freezes. This happens sooo much. Now if i still want to try record my video i have to take out the usb connection of the quickcam and either restart my computer or shut it down and start it up manualy again, If i wanted to get the quickcam working, i would have to keep restarting it 10 times atleast until it works and that dont mean it will work then. Each and evertime i try to record a video it freezes, then i have to restart it again and again until i get it. I have tryed reinstalling the software many times from the disk i got with it, and i have also tryed installing it from a link i got from a website, which that link was on that website because people was having problems with the quickcam, so the link was supose to fix what ever was wrong. But that didnt for me. I have done all the noraml things i have seen around the net and nothing have worked for me. And actually, do you know all the effects you get on the application of the quickcam, the funny masks etc, they have Never worked since the day i installed it on the computer. Im starting to think that the quickcam 9000 is just not compatible with windows 7. Like i sad above, with my old laptop, the quickcam worked 110% everytime. Not a single problem with it. Please help me if you can. Thank you for your time.
