Not unless the laptop specifically has an upgradeable chip. I believe Dell tried that for a little while, calling it an MXM socket, or something like it, but I don't believe it lasted very long.good thing i caught this thread i might be going that route plus i wonder if i can upgrade the graphics in the laptop i just gotten
