Hi, I ran sfc /scannow and got an "windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them." result.

Here's the CBS.log file attached. Should I worry or not?

The only thing that i can see is that Service Pack 1 has a problem or is not installed.

please post a screenshot of control panel > system, see mine

Thanks, here is the screenshot. I have SP1. The only thing I had done in the past was to add group policy to 7 home premium. I can't remember how I did it though, it was some time ago.

no worries

That looks cool,
Sometimes it takes 3 runs of that prog to actually fix everything.

If your not having a problem with windows upodates, then i wouldn't be worried if it was on my system.

I am curious about your group policy change as its not part of Home premium as such, but is listed under services, see attached
NOTE THE GREYED OUT AREA, startup type.

My windows update runs fine, even though it usually takes 5 minutes or more to scan for new updates, so I guess I won't worry about the sfc problem. As for the group policy editor, I don't remember how I added it so I can't remove it now. I'll just let it be. Thanks for the help Roy.
