Hello everybody i just made an account on behalf of my friend who i just built a pc for him and we are having 0x0000124 bsod problems
brand new parts from newegg and i put it together, updated bios to 1402 via usb, restored to default, installed windows and installed MB disk drivers then graphics driver and it bsod, so i reinstalled windows and installed chipset,lan,raid,usb3.0,graphics driver from asus site in that order then the bsod happend, but noticed it didnt bsod before i installed graphics driver. I Googled the code and it says vcore needs upped but there all overclocked systems when his was fresh out the box, he said one stick on c_1 slot didn't recognizes after a few bsods so he reinserted and it shows in bios but still bsod.
did a MB mem test with all sticks an error free but mem is running slower at 2166 not 2666, Tested all 4 sticks of ram on all 8 slots but still bsod, temps are at 27c idle 56c full load with intelburntest x10, XMP was enabled but still bsod, i have 15 dmp files,
it didn't bsod when running burn test but after watching a youtube video for 7 mins it bsod. Could it possibly be the graphics card causing an issue or CPU!?

That's a pretty nice PC you've built there. I wish i had the money for that. Anyways to troubleshooting.

All the dumps blames the hardware. Check if you put everything right, no loose parts or anything.

We pulled the board out and reseated the cpu and graphics card, double checked everything, need more specific on which hardware is faulty, totally random whether its a couple hours gaming or right after win boot. Will try a different graphics card

MaDMaRk, could you put a USB drive in the computer, go into bios and I believe if you hit F12, it will put a picture of the page you are looking at on the USB drive. Then please post them here.
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html. I would like to see your AI Tweaker section. It will take 4 or 5 screenshots, but that's OK. We'll see if we can get you going.

At least one problem you may have is on the X99 boards when you enable XMP and your ram is 2666 or higher, it increases your strap from 100 to 125. That means if your stock speed step is 3800, your multiplier will be at 38, but with the increase of the strap from 100 to 125, that means when speedstep kicks in you will be doing 125X38 instead of 100X38. or instead of a 3.8Ghz you will be doing 4.75GHz with no voltage increase. Look in your bios and see if that is the case. It will be in the AI Tweakers section. It can be run like that if you want to, but you will just have to alter your multiplier from 38 to about 30. It may require a slight voltage increase to get it perfectly stable, but it can be done. The other option would be to not set it to XMP, but to manual, set the timings, voltage yourself and set the ram speed to 2133 or 2400. Your strap and you Bclk should stay at 100 then and your multiplier can stay at 100 then. I hope I explained that so you can understand it. But, with the X99 boards anything 2666 or higher automatically sets the strap from 100 to 125.
