Solved Random Black Screen Shutdowns

And here we go again. After a day I was just wasting some time with Solitaire and got the blackscreen crash again. It tried several times to reboot but couldn't manage it. Then it actually offered me the choice of a Safe Mode startup and I copied the Event viewer stuff as before. here it is.

One error says,

Apparently, to fix this do the following:

To resolve this behavior, you must enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP, by performing the following steps: Open Device Manager.


On the View menu, click to select the Show hidden devices check box.


Double-click Non-Plug and Play Drivers.


Double-click NetBIOS over Tcpip.

In the Device usage box, click Use this device (enable).


When you restart the system, the server may take longer to restart. If this behavior occurs, go to the following registry key:


HKey_Local_Machine/System/CurrentControlSet/Services/Netlogon/DependOnService
Double-click DependOnService and in the multi-string editor add the following value (if it is not already present):
LanmanServer


I'm wondering at this point if you have malware. Run Herdprotect and SuperAntiSpyware. You may need to run Herdprotect twice.

Problem. In "Non-Plug and Play Drivers", NetBIOS over Tcpip is not in the list.

I will try your other suggestions at some point later. I am running Windows Defender, Kasperky Free antivirus, and Malwarebytes. Never have had a virus before but I guess there's always a first time.

It has been a week now without a crash. I think it has settled down. Can't be certain what fixed it. I have been doing lots of tweeks suggested by various people. Even Asus, the motherboard support bods had some input. I even bought a new power supply but haven't bothered to fit it yet. Thanks to all here at 7forums.
