Random BSOD and Shutdown

I upgraded to win7 from vista by buying a discounted copy online by using my student ID. I don't have any disk since it was a download. What can I do?

Did you receive a product key to enter?

I'm sure I did but I can't find any information from when I upgraded. Is there anyway to retrieve it from the computer?

Yes, download and run Speccy. Click on the Operating System in the left hand menu and your key will be displayed in the information pane on the right hand side. Once you have this you can then back up your data and get ready for a clean install.

Ok I've got my key and we are almost done backing up all our data. How do I proceed from here?

Ok I did a clean install. Anything else I should do or just wait to see if I get another bsod?

Just introduce third party drivers and programs slowly one by one, making Restore Points before each one. Let us know how you get on.
