I follows the steps in this thread
http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-...plications-error-0x0000003b-ntoskrnl-exe.html

But, my happiness was short lived. My computer just froze about 10 minutes ago with no BSOD involved, it just hung up and did nothing, I ran driver sweeper and removed all ATI drivers. I will run the diagnosis tool linked on this site and upload the zip file tomorrow. Its getting late here in Minnesota.
I really appreciate this amazing forum. I have quite a bit of computer knowledge, but even what I know now, this is beyond me. I will come back with that tomorrow. Thanks again.

Well, turned on the comp this morning, no more than an hour, same BSOD, same error code. All I was doing is searching around on Firefox. But this really does it whenever it wants to. But most often it seems while I am on FF.
here is the zip file from the diagnostics tool
Thanks for the help.

oh and, I never had BSOD problems until I upgraded to 7 from XP (this was about 3 months ago)

Sorry to say but Avast! antivirus is contributing in your BSOD-s.

Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-
:warn: Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

The latest drivers for NVIDIA are a little problematic as I've heard. Click on the Start :orb: ► Control Panel ► Programs ► Uninstall a program ► Uninstall everything related to; NVIDIA Reboot the system. Now delete remnants of its drivers using Driver Fusion/Sweeper. Reboot if required

Download and install the drivers from the link of Filehippo bellow:
Free up the start-up, nothing except the antivirus is usually needed.
Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:
Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:
Please uninstall Spybot S&D, it;s sometimes known to corrupt and slow down the system.
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy	Public:Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy	Public
Run these tools and delete anything they find:
ESET online scanner:
Look for a more recent version for the BIOS.
Code:
BIOS Version/Date	American Megatrends Inc. 1302, [COLOR="Red"]12/26/2008[/COLOR]
For monitoring the heat/celsius of the system, use Speccy or HWinfo:
Let us know the results, I will let you know if I find anything else in the .dmp's.

Edit:-
Are you having 2 graphic cards installed on the PC by any chance?

Thank you for the quick response! I will revert to an older version of nvidia and get rid of avast.
Too bad, I have had such good luck with this program. I will do this and report back if I get another BSOD, if not, I will mark it as solved. Thanks again!

It was a great card, but the fan on it was starting to get louder, and it was quite old, a lot of times I had to unplug the HDMI cable from it and plug it back it for it to recognize the monitor
Thanks again, I will keep you updated.

I have already noticed things loading faster, since I updated my bios, startup-reboots are faster as well.
I will update in a couple days if I am BSOD free.

Thanks for the update.

If you haven't cleaned the inner of computer recently (hardware components), you should do that too. Install speccy or hwinfo from the links I posted earlier for keeping a check on the hardware temperatures occasionally if you like. :)

Good Luck.

I just thought I would come on here and express my gratitude again.
I was on XP before I upgraded to win 7, and for most that know, XP is very reliable. and I have heard that 7 was too. When I first installed 7, I was like "wow, this is nice, quick, I like it" then the endless BSOD's, that I could not figure out, for the life of me, even with my decent computer knowledge. Then I found this since, Finally after how many months.
Thank you, So much. One of the best forums for OS problems, hands down.

Hi! Exactly same problems here as richphotos has had. Also replaced ATI/AMD Radeon HD 4830 with NVidia GeForce640 and after that random crashes. Sometimes BSOD and sometimes just jamming when browsing Firefox. Tested pretty much that not RAM problem and not heat. Never crashed when playing games though.

I will try now with the steps you have provided and then come back how it turns out. I don´t have Avast! but I have AVG. But lets see in next couple of days if I can solve the problem with these steps.

Well, I got the BSOD again.. grrrr  I even went back to an older version of the driver.
I have uploaded the newest file
Thanks again for the help! after a week and a half, I was sure it was fixed.
