Hey all,

I've been getting random BSODs on my home-built computer but haven't been able to determine the source. I found out my PSU was bad a few months ago and replaced it, but it still hasn't stopped the BSODs. It seems to happen mainly while I'm playing games, but it has happened once or twice while browsing as well. The error code reads 0x00000124 and at this point is no longer rebooting my computer automatically, even though autoreboot is enabled. Attached is the SF Diagnostic folder, thanks in advance for any help you all can give.

Edit: Corrected the filename - that must have flown past my head.

Also - There is no overclocking, nor heating issues. I have the current SP for Win7. I also have cleaned and reseated all jumpers and connections, also replaced the PSU as it was causing a no-power issue a month or so ago. Dump files before December may relate to voltage issues.

Hi holodomor,

Please can you add your systems specs to your profile? Here's how:

A 0x124 error is usually heat related, defective hardware, memory or even processor.
I suspect this is CPU-related, and issues with L1 cache (or possibly the BIOS or the motherboard)

Also update the motherboard BIOS according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Their website should provide detailed instructions as to the brand and model-specific procedure.

Please download and run speedfan, (click on link that reads "speedfan 4.47"):

Download SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer

and post a snapshot of the temps that the processor is running.

Please update the following driver from your manufacturers web-site as it is outdated:

athur Atheros AR9271 Wireless Network Adapter Service 10/11/2010 5:10:57 AM

I also noticed:

Your last 13 crashes relate to lolClient.exe which is a part of Leauge of Legends game.

It is not needed to play the game, please disable it before you lauch the game
referring to this guide:

http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=1086230

If you have patched the game recently, i suggest you uninstall the patch
or re-install the game itself if problem persists or if you no longer use the game..uninstall.

Post back any developments :)

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave thanks for the reply!

Posting from work so I don't have a ton of info to add, will post more tonight. I run CoreTemp frequently and I notice the temp doesn't really go much higher than about 55C on a regular basis. It idles about 49C.

I will provide screens from SpeedFan, however, when I get home, as well as more detailed System Info. I also will be updating drivers and BIOS when I get home.

Edit: Just to clarify - that is a non-water cooled CPU temp.

Ok, so it looks like the BSODs may be fixed, I updated the BIOS and drivers and so far have not crashed. Thanks again!
