Hello Windows Seven Forum Support,

I am experiencing random BSOD failure on my Lenovo T61 running an Enterprise licensed copy of Windows 7 x64. I do have kernel dump enabled but so far in each of the BSOD occurence, the system failed to capture the physical dump file.

The common BSOD error message is: Stop 0x000000f4
Physical memory dump failed with status 0xc0000185

Here are some additional system information. I am running a internal customized support Windows 7 x64 image build by my internal support staff. I have recently re-imaged the system as well as using a new hard drive Seagate Momentus ST95005620AS 3Gb/s 500GB hard drive. The BSOD usually occurs while I am using the system not at boot. The only troubleshooting steps I have taken since the BSOD symptom started is updating the Lenovo T61 "Intel Chipset Support for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit), Vista (32-bit, 64-bit) and XP (32-bit, 64-bit) - ThinkPad" supplement package.

Any advice and suggestion on how to troubleshoot to isolate the cause is greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards,
Vinh Le

Hi Yowanvista,

As noted in the original post message body, the process to capture the kernel dump failed so there is no .dmp file I can provide at this time. I had the setting set for Kernel dump. I will changed to mimi dump to see if that helps. I will have to wait for the next BSOD to occurs to see if a dump file is generated. Thank you for responding.
