Hi,

Last year I bought a new computer (desktop pc which I build myself) and ever since then I have had random occurrences of BSOD. Sometimes it take 4-6 weeks before it happens and some times it can occur several times in one week. I have done some memory, graphics and cpu tests without succeeding to reproduce BSOD myself.

I have also used Windows verifier to check the drivers and they do produce BSOD but these differs from the regular ones that occurs randomly, this I have noticed with the Windows program WhoCrashed. According to WhoCrashed those random BSOD has something to do with ntoskrnl.exe. Here is the output from an analyse from Whocrashed of one of my dumpfiles:

On Tue 2015-11-03 20:09:21 GMT your computer crashed crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\110315-5038-01.dmp This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x74200) Bugcheck code: 0x50 (0xFFFFF6FC5262D000, 0x0, 0xFFFFF800032F0700, 0x9) Error: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: NT Kernel & System Bug check description: This indicates that invalid system memory has been referenced. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

What causes this? Is it a hardware fault or some driver issue? If it's some software issue how do you repair it? The dumpfile to the above message is attached in this thread.

Best regards
Tomas
