Solved Random BSOD, SF Diagnostic tool zip file attached.

Sorry for jumping in. Don't mean to step on anyones toes. :)

Yes, with that many errors on memtest I think changing your RAM is the best way to go. Especially with RAM prices so low these days. For compatibility, see these:

http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/SABERTOOTH_Z77/SABERTOOTH-Z77-Memory-QVL.pdf

ASUS - Motherboards- ASUS SABERTOOTH Z77

You would not have to reinstall Windows. The RAM is basically "plug and play". The first time you startup your computer after swapping out the RAM modules you may get a prompt showing that new hardware has been detected. The computer will do a self-analysis and then it should automatically boot into the operating system.

If you look for memory that meets the specifications listed by ASUS you should have no compatibility issues.

Ditto on the toes statement.

If you want to check the RAM settings, maybe we can make some adjustments and coax them into behaving.

Can you download CPUZ and post a snip of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs.
For posting the information , enter 'Snipping tool' in the Start button > Search box, hit enter. Select the area you want to post and save to a convenient place.
How to Post a Screenshot in Seven Forums
Go to your BIOS and tell us what the CPU, RAM and the CPU integrated memory controller voltages are.

If you have different RAM cards installed, not the same brand or not bought on the same day, in the CPUZ SPD tab change the Slot drop box and post the SPD tabs for each different kind of RAM.

You've got two newer BIOS versions, they mention:
1.Improve system stability.
2.Improve memory compatibility.
Update to v1708.

Your IMC (CPU integrated memory controller voltage) is called 'CPU VCCSA' and is just below the DRAM voltage in the AI Tweaker Menu, page 3-7 of your motherboard manual.
Include the DRAM voltage when you reply.

I have downloaded the update for the bios but am not sure how to use it. I've never done a bios flash before. If some one could link me to a tutorial that would be great.

From Asus Support: EZ Flash 2 – the best, the safest and the most convenient way to update BIOS.

Read through this and ask any questions here before starting.
If you have changed any BIOS settings, write them down, they won't be in the new BIOS version you will have to change them.
Note your IDE/AHCI/RAID setting, this will need to be the same as what you have now, or the OS won't boot.

I downloaded the bios file and extracted it to a usb drive that i formated as FAT. Step 3 in the link you gave me talks about renaming the file, do i have to do this? Also, does everything look to be in order on the flash drive?

I'm going to see if i can update the bios some time this weekend.
I'm betting if i update the bios i should probably still get new RAM to better match the motherboard. How important is it to get RAM cards with the EXACT timing that is mentioned in that compatibility pdf? The corsair card that it recommends is out side of my price range and has a timing of 10-12-10-30. Would a different corsair card with timing like 9-9-9-24 or 9-11-10-30 still work?

Edit:
my bios file is named "Z77ST.cap" Do i rename it .ROM, did i do something wrong to get a .CAP or do i just run with the .CAP?
Do i delete everything other than the Z77.CAP file from the USB drive before using it?

Can you post the BIOS voltages as requested above?
These are the settings that need to be changed to possibly make the RAM stable.
Your IMC (CPU integrated memory controller voltage) is called 'CPU VCCSA' and is just below the DRAM voltage in the AI Tweaker Menu, page 3-7 of your motherboard manual.
Include the DRAM voltage when you reply.
Don't buy new RAM until the RAM settings are adjusted, checked if they can be stable.
This is a standard adjustment that is sometimes required.
Download your motherboard manual: Click this link > Asus Sabertooth Z77

In the BRenamer zip file:
'Readme' file:
1.Put Bios file and Bios renamer in same folder
2.Execute the Utility
3.Use new Bios file for USB BIOS Flash back.
As a precaution, remove everything from your USB stick before flashing the BIOS.

DRAM Voltage fluxes between 1.513v and 1.517v........Where it says "auto" in the manual, mine says "1.5"
VCCSA Voltage 0.925v......Auto
CPU PLL Voltage 1.813v.....Auto
PCH Voltage 1.075v.......Auto

Edit:

I successively updated the BIOS. I checked and it changed the above "1.5" back to "Auto" next to the DRAM.

A new BIOS will re-set everything back to default settings.
It's possible that the new BIOS will fix the RAM error problem.
Run memtest86+ again, with both RAM cards installed, for 7 full passes. If you get any errors you can stop the test.

What are your RAM settings now that you have a new BIOS?
Post the CPUZ snips of the CPU, Mainboard, and Memory tabs.

Are these voltages from after the BIOS update?

If memtest86+ shows errors again, bump the DRAM voltage to 1.550v, and the VCCSA voltage 1.100v.
Run memtest86+ again for 7 full passes. If you get any errors you can stop the test.

I ran the memtest and instantly began to get errors, so i stopped it as you said to do and changed the voltages as you said. Bellow is a picture of those changes, hopefully they are as you intended.
I then ran the memtest again and instantly began to get errors so i stopped the test and am now posting here.
I guess we still haven't fixed the problem...awaiting orders.
P.S. i have had my computer on all day after the bios update and have yet to get a blue screen. I don't know if that means anything, but i just thought i would share.

Good news that you aren't getting crashes anymore.
Those are the correct voltage settings.

Bump the DRAM voltage to 1.600v, and the VCCSA voltage 1.150v.
Run memtest86+ again for 7 full passes. If you get any errors you can stop the test.
These settings are still in the safe zone, but wouldn't recommend going to much higher. Hardcore overclockers go much higher than that, but they are taking risks.

Time to RMA the RAM or get new.
You could under clock the RAM frequency or loosen the timings.

Be sure to get compatible RAM, check the manufacturer's site.
For example: G.Skill RAM configurator - Asus Sabertooth Z77
Get RAM that says its for Z77 platform.
Don't get RAM that says its for Z77 and AMD, these tend to have more issues than RAM strictly for Intel Z77.

When looking at ram, what are all the stats that i should be trying to match?
As i asked above, do i need to match the suggested timing from my MB manual exactly? or can the numbers be a little off?
Are there other stats i should be paying attention to to make sure i get the right stuff?
