Hi guys,
I built this computer around 2 years ago, but haven't used it much since leaving for college. I installed Windows 7 Pro 64-bit OEM (from my school) on it during the summer, and it started having random crashes once in a while.
System Specs:
Q6600 @ stock
ASUS P5k-E/WIFIAP
2x1GB DDR2 800MHZ mushkin @ stock (dont know timings)
X1900xtx @ stock
I have sufficient cooling, its not the power supply because even if I unplug everything not essential it still crashes.
Thanks for any help you guys can give!
I ran the SFC scannow in command prompt and it said it was all clear.
however, it still periodically crashes even when i just leave it idle.
any other suggestions?
thanks for the help!

These were caused by hardware, and I am betting it may be your yk62x64.sys Marvel Yukon driver. It is both suspect and released before win 7 was released. It needs to be updated.

Code:
yk62x64.sys        fffff880`04d87000    fffff880`04deb000    0x00064000    0x4a13bbce    5/20/2009 04:14:06

Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .. A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint. Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress. You can read more on this error and what to try here... Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

Thanks

Hi -

There were 10 dumps in all, two from May 2010; the rest October 8 & 9, 2010.

The bugchecks -
(2) 0x124 = WHEA
(7) 0x1e = kernel threw an exception
(1) 0x3b = system service exception

You ATI Video drivers need to be updated -
Code:
[FONT=lucida console]atikmdag.sys Fri [COLOR=red]Apr 24[/COLOR] 06:51:57 [COLOR=red]2009[/COLOR] (49F199CD)[/FONT]
Radeon X1900 Series - Downloads

Marvel Yukon Ethernet was updated after the second BSOD on 8 October -
Code:
[FONT=lucida console]yk62x64.sys  Wed [COLOR=red]Sep 15[/COLOR] 10:31:29 [COLOR=red]2010[/COLOR] (4C90D8C1)[/FONT]

I would advise that you run memtest86+ one stick at a time and alternate the slots.

memtest86+ - Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Burn memtest86+ ISO to CD with ImgBurn - The Official ImgBurn Website

Also be sure to review the 0x124 info that Ken mentioned - http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html
