Hi all

I have recently installed Windows 7 Professional edition on my Dell XPSM1730 laptop. It was a fresh installation. All went smoothly when until recently the OS has started crashing randomly. It does not matter what I do be it moving a window, adjusting the video chatting screen, copy pasting from one excel file to another etc the OS seems to crash. I'd done all the necessary checks to see what the issue is although I'm unable to read the .dmp files. Further, the Nvidia driver, for the Gefore 8700GT Sli card in the laptop, also crashes inadvertently. Thinking that this could be a driver related issue, I installed all the latest versions of the same. Yet, no respite.

I'm just so fed-up with Windows OS. I simply don't understand how this OS is better than Vista. Funny though, my previous Vista installation never crashed. I simply don't understand the reason behind. I was a Linux Ubuntu user until I shifted to W7. Now, I'm seriously considering moving back to Ubuntu.

Can someone please help me out over here. Although I don't wish to cloud anyone's thought, my hunch is that the crashes are very much related to the Nvidia driver.

Anyway, I look forward to your views.

Here's the minidump file

Can some kind hearted Windows professional please go through the .dmp file and let me know what's wrong with my windows? I'm really getting fed up with it and will mostly likely move to Linux by the end of the week and take a vow never to come back to Windows again.

Looking forward to your comments.
