Realtek High Def Audio, Mic not working in frontpanel, rear grayed out

Hi

I changed motherboard, for ASrock 960GV-GS FX, and installed windows 7.
Problem:

Rear audio panel not working, if I plug a headset, I don't hear sound, mic is not recongnized.
If I plug in front panel, I hear LOW sound, mic not recongnized.

Mic just doesnt move any green bar, nor generates audible sound in windows recorder.

Rear panel (analogic) is always grayed out no matter what.

In audio properties I can pick front panel, but microphone is like dead (works ok in other pc).

Bios: tried enabling both front and rear, and variations like: just one of 2, both in "auto" and so on. Nothing improves.

Drivers: tested several, I'm using those provided with motherboard.

Motherboard connections: everything looks good, tried, even disconnecting front panel, and using jumpers on audio, but even in that case I can't get the rear panel active.

Finally I activated all kind of devices to see if I can make some work, looks like this:

Volume tested.

Hello and welcome Fernando is this the driver you are using for the board
ASRock > N68C-GS FX (second down from top) ? and you might even need to dothe chipset driver too

If you are then maybe the board has a fault mate.

The other suggestion I would make but it would only give you the back panel option is a sound card I use the Asus Xonar DG and it ha a very good GUI for mixing and such. Sound Cards and Digital-to-Analog Converters - Xonar DG - ASUS

NOPE, that's not my motherboard model page, so I'm not using those you posted really...

I'm using the one listed here ASRock > 960GC-GS FX
that's for ASUS 960GC-GS FX, whose download es 170.55 mb, Windows® 7 64bit


Why do you ask? Do you have a reason for me to change to those you mention or what?

And What you mean by "and you might even need to dothe chipset driver too"

Does that mean that I need ANOTHER DRIVER IM MISSING ?

Your last solution is to install another audio card and forget about the one in mobo right?

Sorry for late reply mate and that was a mistake on my part I copied and pasted that first number and came up with the ref I sent how it did that I have no idea. So the drivers are the ones you have listed.

The chipset was just a suggestion if the audio driver did not fix the problem as it is the control between the CPU and the rest of the machine see this for a fair explanation
Motherboard Chipset

Yes I am a bit of an audiophile myself and like to have good quality audio and one that I can control the effects and mixing etc. The card itself is cheap enough and so easy to fit but again it is a personal choice.
