ReBoot Time

I understand that, Essenbe. It's just that it starts making me frustrated to notice that for some the only function of a PC is to pimp it. So much work for nothing, energy that could be used for something useful.

My frustration got its peak when I read that post telling that if your reboot time is not good enough, wait a few seconds and try again, to get a few seconds away. It's like if your train arrives at your destination a few minutes too late, and you will be told to go back where you started and try the next train instead to see if it can keep the schedule better.

Anyway, not my problem.

Some of the results are clearly only possible when almost all important services are disabled thus making Windows almost unable to function as it should.

I agree that crippling services for the most part is pointless. AFAIK I have posted one of the fastest times so far with all needed Windows services running and then possibly some more. If you check one of my posts you will see the task manager showing services running, there were some 50 or so services IIRC, not only Windows.

For me it should be the computer waiting on me, not the other way around and TBH I would only really be happy with it if it took less than a second, but it is what is it is.

As you hinted there can be a lot worse things in life by far to have to worry about than reboot times so if people only have this to worry about then be happy for them :).

FWIW, During bootup, my monitor sometimes shows a "No Signal" message box for a few seconds. This usually happens if I haven't restarted in awhile. If the "No Signal" box doesn't appear, my restart speed is a few seconds faster. Does your monitor show the same message box, vvesj? I'm curious.

Very nice, Parman. Great restart time if that includes putting in your password. It's a great restart time for those, like me, who have no password.

Just ask me if i missed something
Nope its because my os is kinda corrupt but its not at the same time mainly because i changed my theme explorer and start orb and didnt use system restores which was a huge mistake and i restarted and had same error with a black desktop one day and i restarted explorer.exe and ran the sfc /scannow command a couple times to restore windows which its working now so when i ran the restart file and clicked it again immediately it popped up with 1 second because it wouldnt restart me also sfc /scannow doesnt find anything wrong but i still cant run certain commands like clearing my iconcache.db file and shutdown.exe - r -t -30 .. etc
