Receiving an Error message ‘Printer is turned off’

My windows 7 pc is connected to network printer. When i give the command of printing via network printer then system prompts a message that printer is turned off and can’t print but reality is that it is turned ON. How to fix the issue?

Has this ever worked? If not you may need to install the printer driver on your computer, even though it's a network printer.

You can also try removing the adding the network printer again, see if that helps.

Is it your printer? If so go through the setup again, using a USB cable and the install CD.
