I would be grateful (and since I can rely on you guys) If any of you could recommend any USB headsets ?
Price range 0-£37 ($55)

Looking to make a purchase, generally all I do is game and listen to music, a mic attached would be nice.

I've been looking at the Creative HS-950 USB gaming headset, but I have no idea about its price-performance, especially when compared to the more popular non-usb Creative Fatal1ty Headset.
Does anyone know if those two headsets will be any different in quality or which is the better one ?

(Reason behind my desire for usb is the fact I have 5.1 on a sound card, taking up all the ports, and my front audio headers cant be attached to the sound card)
Cheers.

I've actually done quite a bit of research here when I bought mine. My criteria was gaming and voip, but it should work well for you too. I've heard of the logitechs, they're ok, never heard of the other guy's set. I highly recommend either of these over the Creative/Logitech/Microsoft but thats just me. It really depends on what you want to use the headset for. These are the best budget sets for gaming.

If you don't mind spending some extra dough, go for the Siberia V2 ($80) or the PC 161 ($67).

Buy.com: Sennheiser PC-161 Headset

Personally I went with the PC-151 and they work great. I've just got more trust in Sennheiser than i do in Steel Series, but the V2 and the PC 161 are the best rated *affordable* gaming headphones i know of. Even better than most of the super expensive ones.
