Hi,

I moved a folder with some virtual hard disks from one disk to another using a Linux live disk. Now I can't see them in Windows or a live disk to move them back. The disk that I moved it to is set up as RAID 1 in Windows, in the live disk, it shows 2 separate disks instead of one RAID disk. When I boot to the live disk, it shows one of the two disks with ~270 GB used and in the other it shows ~150 GB. Any idea how to get them back or delete the files. I don't have a problem redoing the Virtual Machines, I just would like the disk space back.

I have tried 2 different Easus recovery programs. Can't think of the names of the products right now, though.

Thanks,
Matt

Ok so I just gave it a try, hoping to recover them. Well, my hard drive is no longer showing that those files are there and they are not showing as deleted. I have my ~120GB back, but the VMs are no longer there. My guess is that the OS was marking the blocks as used, when they really weren't. Oh well, I guess. No big loss, they were just learning tools that I was playing with.

Thanks for leading me to the Recuva, though. That's great!
