Hello All. This is my first post to the forum.
I have a Dell XPS 8700, about 3 years old, with the OS on a SSD. The recovery partition is 21.1GB but only about 10GB is used. I'd like to allocate the 11GB of unused space to the OS partition. But I keep asking myself why would Dell make the Recovery partition so big especially on an SSD. Like maybe the recovery operation might needs that much available space to unpack and write temporary files?
Does anyone have any thoughts about this or experience in using the Recovery partition after it had been shrunken (why does this make me thing about shrunken heads <grin>).
Also I'd like a recommendation for partitioning software in case I decide to move ahead with this.
Thanks all
