Recycle bin - appears on desktop but doesn´t function

The icon is on the desktop but nothing happens when I click on it. When I search for "recycle bin" only the icon comes up. Where is the bin and how do I get it to function?

Hello Roffe, and welcome to Seven Forums.

Are you able to open the Recycle Bin from any other location? Say from the drop down menu of the first arrow in the address bar in Windows Explorer.

If not, then you might see if the tutorial below may be able to help if the Recycle Bin is corrupted.
