The recycle bin icon on my desktop always shows empty even when I delete a file unlike previous Win OS which as you deleted the recycle bin icon changed to show it had files in it. Is there some setting or something to make it change when you delete a file.

Thanks for any help.

Right click your recyle bin icon, select properties and see if the dont move files to recycle bin option is not checked, if it is select the custom size option click apply and you should be good to go.
