Refuses to start

Have an Intel quad core chip
Asus Striker Extreme Board
2x Nvidia 9600 graphics cards
3 HD Drives 1x70 system disc only has programs and windows. All data stored on 2x 500 GB drives running raid
8 GB Ram
Windows 7 64 Ultimate

Hi New to this forum so here's the tale of woe
Machine worked fine (over 6 months) with no problems up to 3 days ago. Turned it off and 2 hours later needed to use it again. Windows would not complete the start up. Ran Start up repair but it could not fix the problem. Would not run in safe mode or any mode. Did clean install and all worked fine. Reinstalled a mirror of system and all worked fine everything was back. Windows then ran some updates and when finished closed down. When I restarted it the same problem, Windows would not start. I installed the mirror again but Windows would not start so I clean installed again and it runs OK.
Anyway to get it to run when the mirror is put back I need the programs?

what app did you use for the mirror?

Windows restore from the system disc, the mirror was on an external hard drive

Let's go at this from a different angle.

Did I miss the wattage rating of your Power Supply Unit?

With all you have you need a hefty power supply.

Takd of and leave the cover off of the unit. Occasionally check the fans. I assume that you have blown all of the dust out.

Install a simple program like speccy which is also free to monitor temps.

If PSU, fans, temps all stay in line and the problem persists, then try a memory test. Here I recommend Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

Trying to run with the cover off but now getting BSOD, system looks to be shot with one breakdown after another but will persevere to get the thing running and try mem test when it is a bit stable.

Now that you are getting BSOD, the chaps here are excellent and analyzing the minidump files.

Thanks to all. It was the graphics card that was shot, now running on one and all OK.
