No i dont think so.
This is the only computer in the house.
It's connected via Wifi from my router

Let's clear the event logs and then shudown and reboot your computer.

After that you will use event viewer to view your startup and shutdown times.


CLEAR EVENT LOGS


To delete those event logs, you can:
Ø Copy and Paste following into Notepad.
Ø Save as ClrEventLogs.BAT (or another name but extension must be BAT)
Ø Navigate to ClrEventLogs.BAT using Windows Explorer
Ø Right-click on ClrEventLogs.BAT
Ø Click on Run as Administrator

Here's how to determine your Bootup & Shutdown times:

WIN key | type EVENTVWR.MSC | ENTER key

First wait for the Event Viewer to be populated-watch the Summary of Administrative Events section.

Now, using the left-hand pane tunnel down as follows:
Applications and services logs | Microsoft | Windows | Diagnostics-Performance | Operational

Right-click on Operational.

In the top-section of the middle pane, various events are listed.

Click on EventID to sort the events from smallest to largest.

EventID 100 is for Bootup Performance.
EventID 200 is for Shutdown Performance

You may find some of the other events to also be of interest. [/FONT]

I cant find the event ID 200

shutdown your computer. Boot up your computer. you will see 200 events.

More important is that that you double click on the 100 item that has a critical flag by it.

Still no luck. I click shut down on the start menu and then turn the PC back on.

No luck just more number but none 200

Also I found out why no event 200.

Hibernate is on. That's ok, although with hibernate off then we might gain some more info.

here is how you turn hibernate on or off.

Run cmd.exe as administrator.

To turn hibernate off, type:
PowerCfg -h off

and guess what, to turn it back on, type:
PowerCfg -h on

Use the Snipping tool and you can make a snip of only the critical event window.

Im getting more and more of them everytime i boot up

The reason you are seeing more of them is because the log is cumulative.

I should have been more specific.

Let's have a snip of the most recent CRITICAL 100 event.

i found a new one with an Error saying something about standby performance mointering.
But anyhoo this is my recent 100.

that's still only two minutes which is a long ways from 5 minutes.

Did you try Soluto?
Soluto
If you do, then make a system restore point before installing.

After uninstalling, then restore back to the system restore point. Soluto is not good about cleaning up behind itself.


Have you tried disabling your connection to your router?

Routers have been known to introduce delays especially if Win 7 is waiting for a response from the router.

So i just instailled Soluto, and it did some scan on 1st boot, and it took 1.52
and now i dont know what to with it.

Also no idea how to disable the connection at start up for my router.


Edit: Appartleny there are 44 apps that boot app with my PC that i didn't even know about. I'm not sure if i should puse some of them

This is a wonderful program, but one must not "experiment" with it unless you create system restore points before using.

I use this program. This is a super-duper msconfig program.

Run this program, work your way thru the tabs. Especially look at the task scheduler tab. But all tabs are important. Normally, you can ignore any Microsoft entries.

Just make that system restore point before using. Don't go disabling too much in one step. Although you have the option to delete some things, don't delete, just disable.

Autoruns for Windows

Well all that stuff from AUTORUN was crazy so i only disabled one thing which part of Windows Mail. I then disabled 2 thing from Sulto As they were classed as "No Brainers" Now Sulto says my boot time is 1.13

Edit: Deleted 1 more thing and now it says 50secs
