Reliability of drivers from windows update

Just a general inquiry on the overall reliability of the drivers suggested by windows 7 windows update. I've had issues with drivers suggested by past OS like 2000 and xp. Was wondering the thoughts of others.

I always get the drivers from the appropriate website ... when possible..

Pretty reliable...that's what I use. I often tell the story of my nVidia GeForce 7200GS card, which has problems with the latest drivers, released by the manufacturer in February.

The latest ones Update finds are from September, and they run perfectly.
