Remembering passwords

I had to log off from facebook in order to check another profile, thus having to enter that one and then once I was done reenter mine. However, no matter how many times, it always signs me out when I close the internet. I did hit "remember my password" option when I rentered it, but it doesn't.

Is there to really make sure that when I got to places like facebook, I'm already logged in and I don't have to retype anything?

Did you at all press on clear private data? If you're using mozilla, you could just press remember when it asks you if you want mozilla to remember the password.
