Solved reminder pad.

Morning. is there a programme or software ,that I can use to jot things down .when I am doing things I suddenly have a idea, and think I must remember that. If I had a icon on my desktop that I could click on
open up and just jot it down it would be great, can anyone help. Please.

if you have microsoft office ,you could use onenote, the beauty of onenote is that you can collect all sorts of things ,filetypes, images links etc.

alternatively there is evernote

or you could use 7sticky notes this is not the same thing though ,just virtual post it notes.
but with more than the generic ones that come with windows already

The wife wanted something similar so I set her up Google Keep, she has it on her phone and as a Chrome App on her PC that I've pinned to the taskbar - it all works great.

Starting a new line with [] adds a checkbox to the line.

I've been using this program for quite some time and didn't know that. Thanks.

I found that if you back space over the box that [] created and press x it will produce the check box with an x in it.
