Solved Remote Desktop Setup Issue

Everyone,

When I started with Remote Desktop, at the top of the screen was this little menu bar for RDC. I accidentally closed it and now do not know how to get it back. Can someone pla help/tell me how to get this back on my screen, when I connect to my machine @ work using RDC. It is like a tab, but for RDC.

Hello Jerry, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you mean the tabs boxed in red below, then you can click on the Options button at the bottom left to expand and see them.

No, this is not what I mean. Once I am connected to my desktop @ work, then at the top of the screen, there is this like tab at the top of the screen. That is what I am referring to.

Ah, ok. If you mean this below when the screen is maximized, then you should be able to move your mouse pointer over where it should be at the top to have it slide down. Afterwards, click on the push pin icon at the right of it to have it pinned down (always on top).

For what it is worth. I had to do the following:

1. Startup RDC.
2. Click on Options to expand.
3. Click on the Display Tab.
4. Check the box, Display the connection bar when I use the full screen.
4A. Also, drag the slider bar under Display Configuration to the far right
until it says Full Screen.
5. Click on the General Tab.
6. Save the Connection Settings.
7. The click on Connect to start the session.
8. Then went into full screen mode as you said.
9. Clicked on the push pin and everything was groovey after that.

Just in case anyone else ever has this challenge.

Brink, i was reading over your answer to this post, i really hope you can help me , i need to find a way to have the blue tab back up there, for some reason i closed it and i cant find a way to have it back up there so i can use always on top function, please man, give a hand here will you?!!!

I appreciate any ideas that come across.

exactly , i clicked on something i believe i closed it now its not there anymore at all.

Ok, then. Close the Remote Desktop Connections (RDC) window. Next, open/expand the RDC Options to make sure that you have this checked below before connecting to see if that brings it back for you.

all i had to do is move the display settings all the way to the right to full screen
