Remotely install printers

I personally have never used Linux servers and Samba, but I know I've heard that it can be very difficult to get working with AD properly.

Thanks WindowsStar for helping out here. Unfortunately I cannot get it to work. but I think I knwo where the problem lies. We're not using Windows servers but Linux servers and Samba. And I guess there is a problem with the group domain admins between Windows 7 and Samba. I'll have to digg in with my network administrator. When I find it, I'll let ik know. I'll close this question.

Thanks again everyone for trying to help.

Ah, been down that road before. Yep the Linux Server do make things difficult. I have not used them for AD in a long long time so I cannot be help here.

But Windows Server 2003 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 work perfectly.

Well. try this. from a Windows 7 PC browse to the computer you want to install the printer (explorer trype \\pcname\). Then you will see a button in the toolbar saying "view remote printers". just click it. hope this would help.
