Hello All.

I need some help really badly. :(
I've just got a brand new laptop for my birthday/christmas :D, and is already installed with windows 10.
My laptop is a HP Pavilion 17-G153NA, and is brand new. :D
My problem is removing windows 10, which is a pain to remove. :(
I've tried to install windows 7 64bit hp factory default, but with no success. :(
I've tried to install windows 7 32bit straight from the disc, but it just spin with no image or anything.:(
I've tried windows xp professsional, it go so far, but states that the ACPI something like that is incompatible with.:(
I've tried windows vista, straight from the disc, but when it comes to install on disc, it states can't install as the harddisk gtp setup something like that, and won't install.:(
Is there anyway to remove windows 10, as my old laptop, an acer aspire 7551, which is 6 years old, has windows 7 home premium 64bit, which i'm using right now, but is so long in the tooth with being very slow, and my new laptop, which is extremely powerful, just sits doing nothing, with windows 10.
I really need to remove windows 10 as its doing my head in.
Anyone know how, much appreciative for your help.

Hi BCMMSX and welcome to the Forum
I don't think you can "go back" to Windows 7 as your new machine never had Win 7 in the first place. Have you got a licence key and installation disc for Windows 7 Retail.
When it comes to cleaning the hard drive his should do the job;

Enable Legacy mode in the Bios, disable secure boot if possible, convert the drive to MBR.

I personally make and use a Partition Wizard Boot CD, to delete the entire drive to unallocated space. The create a Primary Partition, set it Active, Align and Format it, it works perfectly every time.

Install Windows 7 :)

As stated you need to purchase Windows 7 and key.

Hi and welcome to SevenForums,
I agree go into your bios,
You might need to disable fast startup in win-10 first to get into the bios 10 sets startup at zero seconds so it is difficult if not impossible to get there unless you disable fast start,
Fast Startup - Turn On or Off in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

Then you should see a brief bios flash screen showing the shortcut keys to use to get there,
Could be the F2 key or Delete key
Then go to the Advanced section of the bios possibly F7 will be shown on the bottom or top of the bios screen
Then the Boot section and scroll the list for Secure boot and CSM
Post some pictures of the options you see for more advice.

The first thing is to verify Win 7 drivers are available for all the hardware. You may find that there are no drivers for some.

When I worked the Dell forums, many users who wanted to change OS on a new PC, removed the factory hard drive and installed a new drive and installed the new OS on that. Then, if it didn't work out or they wanted to sell the PC they could reinstall the factory drive with the original OS.

Could also use a SSD for the new install.
