Hi once more regarding what it says on screen.
When I press F2 or any other even the delete key a black screen comes up with a lot of writing and bottom line is.......
DISC BOOT FAILURE INSERT SYSTEM DISC AND PRESS ENTER.
Does that mean the windows disc??,If so Yes I do have the windows disc.

We are winning are we????

David.Getting late here now will leave pc running and wait for your thoughts on the above. Will be back later.

Yeah, as I said, each BIOS is different. It may be another key to press or a combination of keys. Are there no instructions on the BIOS splash screen. And what is the make of your PC. Maybe we can find out because it goes by make.

Just look at the bottom of the screen when you first turn on the pc. It will show you which key to push to get into the bios (setup). You may have to do it once or twice to see it. It will be F2, Del etc.

See WHS post 56.

The first screen you see will probably be some sort of a system summary, but you need to get to the boot tab.

The various tabs should be displayed left to right at the top of your screen. You move from one tab to the other with the left and right arrow keys to the right of the normal alphabetical keys on your keyboard. On any given page, you navigate mostly with the up and down arrow keys in the same location.

The boot sequence area may show something like this, top to bottom:

CD or DVD
Hard drive 1
Hard drive 2
SSD

You need to change whatever you see so that your new SSD is above any other hard drive, preferably in the second slot, right below the CD/DVD. You move the choices around so it would show something like this:

CD or DVD
SSD
Hard drive 1
Hard drive 2

After you make the right choices about boot sequence, you have to save that change and exit, which will make the PC boot again. The save and exit is usually done with an F key. Which F key varies, but you should see an on-screen mention of which key will do that.

Regarding the pic with the blue background:

The "atapi" devices are likely CD/DVD drives or external drives. Sata 1 is the big Western Digital. Sata 4 is the SSD.

You need to get Sata 4 higher in that list, above the Western Digital.

Looking at those instructions on the bottom of the blue page. It appears you move stuff up and down with the up and down arrow keys. If that doesn't work, try the "page up" and "page down" keys above the arrow keys. Or maybe the plus and minus keys at the extreme right of the keyboard. It all varies from one motherboard to another.

When the SSD shows as above the Western Digital, hit F10 to save the setting at that spot.

Then escape key to exit. The PC should reboot.

The last pic is telling you that the PC cannot currently find a bootable disc. The SSD should be bootable, but you need to move it up the list to confirm that.

Well whs and all,
Firstly I want to Thank You all for being very patient with me with this SSD project,Without your help I would never had done it.It took a lot of questions and answers on this forum well it kept it busy.

To the point,The job is complete,I did a lot of looking into the Bios and good old Google did a bit of help as well,But you guys have been absolutely brilliant. It's all up and running like a drem here.
I also took a tip from wolfgang regarding the adaptor for the SSD drive he did say about goog old Velcro.
Well that's what I have done at the moment the SSD is velcrod to the base of the tower inside of course.

Well will close now and once again a Big Thank You to all.Until we meet again.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

David.
