what exactly do you mean by a reserved partition?
are you refering to a hidden partition w/o a drive letter or are you refering to a OEM system restore partition?

You will need to assign a drive letter to that partition, but if I may say so, I'd advise against it, because if anything goes wrong there, then you'll end up with an unbootable system. That's why Microsoft does not assign a drive letter and only makes it 100MB (so as not to take up too much space).

My advice is to leave it alone. There's nothing of interest there.

It holds the boot files and a SysVolume file used if you image it. It reports the correct size in Disk Mgmt so I'd leave it alone.

It will be useful if you decide to Dual Boot and its presence enables the Repair My Computer console to be placed on the F8 Advanced Boot Tools menu so you don't have to have the DVD/Repair CD to repair Win7.
